Time on page

The amount of time, usually in seconds, users spend looking at a specific page or group of pages. This is generally displayed as an average time on page, meaningĀ it is the total amount of time spent on a page divided by the total number of users in a given time period.

Google looks at time on page as an indication of landing page quality and how well the page content matches the user‘s keyword intent. Having very low average time on site could result in lower search rankings.
